MIDC was incorporated under the Companies Act 1956 in the year 1971. It is a government of Meghalaya undertaking. The Head Quarter Located at Upland Road, Laitumkhrah, Shillong 793003. It is operational in 3 (Three) Branches Districts of Meghalaya – Tura, West Garo Hills, Jowai, West Jaintia Hills and Nongstoin West Khasi Hills. Since its inception, the following are the main focus in developing of Industrial ventures in the state:-

To promote and operate schemes for industrial development of Meghalaya.
To assist and finance any industrial undertaking of any size.
To promote and establish companies and associations.
